In my freshman year in college, I was trying to be invited to pledge a fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi. The fraternity was holding a party for all potential pledges and would arrange blind dates for all those who did not have a date. I would go downtown to the local bar, the 'R' and ask certain SUNY Potsdam ladies to dance. One particularly, attractive girl caught my eye and after dancing with her a couple of times, I asked if she would be my date for the fraternity party. She said 'yes' and 3 years later we were married. We just celebrated our 52nd wedding anniversary.
